My dining-out bud and I decided it had been too long since we last ate at LaFia so we went last night. My first thought upon arriving was “Why did we wait so long?!?” This is a visibly beautiful and warmly welcoming restaurant. It just feels good to be there. Service is friendly and attentive. (Doesn’t read and describe every item on the menu before asking for drink orders. Trusts if you have any questions you’ll ask.) If asked for, gladly give recommendations.. Dining bud and i started with steak tartare and octopus. I pretty much devoured the steak; he took over the octopus. For our main courses it was Seared Scallops with Saffron Rissotta - outstanding; for him, Seared Curried Cobia- in his own words YUM YUM. We split caramel pudding (wish I had my own; really too good to share) for dessert. All said, superb dining experience. LaFia is a restaurant treasure chest. MoreOpenTable Diner -

Known as "The First State," Delaware is also first on the list for East Coast diners to discover a welcome respite from the hustle and bustle of nearby larger cities without even needing to book a plane ticket. With most of the state bordered by the Atlantic Ocean, it's the perfect place to experience the dining delights of the sea. Those with a gusto for shellfish can crack into their own whole, grilled lobster, or kick back and enjoy a cold beer and oysters Rockefeller while enjoying the beauty of sandy beaches and nearby wetlands. Those who yearn for old favorites with new twists will find their beach sandals knocked off by goat cheese and rosemary pizza. The coast never tasted so good.
