Frank's Oyster House & Champagne Parlor
I would have liked a broader seafood menu, to include some more local fare...not just oysters and clams (though the oysters were tasty!). Wanted some Dungeness and salmon but none to be had. The clam dish I had was delicious! Wife’s main meal halibut was small, but again flavorful.
Frank's is a quirky, fun place with ahhh-mazing food. The happy hour oyster sliders hit warp factor five on my yum scale, but everything we had for dinner after that was very, very good as well. All of the waiters were graciously helpful. They managed to show up when a need arose, but never before. They do a great job. This is not some high-faluting pretentious joint - au contraire, it has a lovely shabby-but-homey feel about it, and I highly recommend that you treat yourself with a visit to Frank's. Be sure to arrive early enough to order those happy hour sliders. (They're delish with the house bubbly.) Bon apetit!
After a few years of hearing my relatives rave about Frank’s, I finally had a chance to try it on a recent Seattle trip – and I was not disappointed. The restaurant was busy but not loud, allowing my group to have a nice conversation during our meal without having to talk over other diners. We began by ordering cocktails and a few appetizers, which we enjoyed. Each of us ordered a different entrée, which allowed us to sample one another’s choices.
The restaurant was clean and well-lit. The wait staff was pleasant and able to offer suggestions while not being intrusive. All in all, it was a nice experience and I look forward to a return visit.
It is a nice restaurant but not worth your money; the portions are small, which is fine but too expensive.
Started off with a glass of their pinot noir, a bit spendy but it was very good. We also had half a dozen oysters on the half shell, I love the way they present them on a solid ice block-very cute. I had the chicken, which is something I never order but it is a specialty here. It was quite good, crispy, no bones, plated on gravy with potatoes. The gravy was a little salty for my taste, but had a nice deep flavor. My daughter had the halibut and she said she really liked it, but the piece of fish was very small for the price. I would come here again. Our waiter seemed to be in training-the host would come up and stand behind him whenever he approaches would have been a nice little heads up to let us know what was going on-as someone that has worked the restaurant industry, I got it, but it should have been pointed out, at first I thought she was waiting to tell us something. Overall a good experience, the restaurant was clean, not too noisy, and we were able to get a table just getting into town, right away, on Open Table.
Wish the server would have introduced himself! He was quiet fun putting up with our nonsense!
Such a wonderful neighborhood spot. Cute atmosphere, really good food.
The food is always terrific although we asked for our burger to be well done and it arrived quite pink! Other than that, the halibut and risotto were fantastic!
Frank's was outstanding as usual!
Delicious food and impeccable service! I really enjoyed the banana split!
We went to Frank’s Oyster house for father’s day. The food was great and the ambience relaxing. My toddler loved their burger (we had to send it back once because it came undercooked, but after that it was perfectly moist and delicious).
Will be back for more!
Very nice spot! Enjoyed the oysters and atmosphere
Been here several times for weekend brunch. The best French toast in Seattle.
This is a very pleasant place, but I'm not sure I would recommend it to friends my age (70+) because of the noise level -- very hard to have a conversation! We had small plates (baked oysters and lobster roll) and the operative word is "small" -- as in very small. Wouldn't order the lobster roll again -- much more bread than lobster. All was redeemed by chocolate whiskey cake -- decadently delicious. Special thanks to our waiter, who recommended that we order just one slice because it is large and rich. Excellent advice.
We were celebrating my nieces graduation from UW. We let them know ahead of time we needed quick service and they complied. The oysters were delicious as was all the food and drinks. The fried oyster sliders were a huge hit! We will be back when we have time to linger. What a great neighborhood place. Wish we lived closer.
The service here is amazing! I have been for happy hour and dinner as well as brunch and I love it. The food is fantastic and a great wine list as well!
Service was attentive
Outstanding food and service. Love this place for special occasions.
We went to Frank's for my birthday brunch primarily based on its proximity to our Airbnb, however, we all agreed it was our best dining experience of the weekend! The service was excellent, the drinks were delicious, and the food was outstanding (especially the oysters!) At the end of it, they even surprised us with complementary beignets and a birthday candle! My husband and I are already planning a return visit so we can experience their dinner menu!
Loved the brunch! Food was delicious and the service was great! I want to go back again!
Extremely underwhelmed, came in on the bar side entrance and was instantly confused as to where we needed to go to check in. Was ignored by three employees, two with their backs to us. And realized the hostess stand was up the stairs to the left and then greeted by a non smiling male host? Did they want our 6pm business on a Friday night?
Our waitress did not ask if we had been in our if we had any questions about the menu. We ordered 3 apps 1 of which were the biscuits and where not informed that those came with our two entrees unfortnate and unapologetic when we brought this up to her. Very off putting experience, I wanted to love this place as my sister and her husband have been regulars for years. We will not be back!
in a heartbeat!! one of my favorite restaurants in seattle. excellent food, fine service in a very comfortable venue.
We really enjoyed our first visit here. The waiter was personable and knowledgeable. The atmosphere had a relaxed elegance and they have several comfy booths, which I love. The oysters were AMAZING!!!
It was wonderful! The waitstaff is attentive enough to fulfill our needs without hovering.
Okay, the oyster are why you should come here. Gorgeous presentation. Perfect oysters. Nice accompaniments (want the lemon ice!). I had clams as an entree. They were good. Fried chicken dinners were huge. Crab wraps had a nice mound of crab, but mainly body meat. Desserts were a bit dull and the six of us did not finish the two we ordered. Oh, yes, the cocktails do not disappoint.
Wonderful restaurant with friendly and professional wait staff. Food quality outstanding with very fresh and fine oysters on the half shell and a top notch variety of other fish and non-fish dishes. Only sour note was a seemingly indifferent and detached host at the front desk, who also seemed unwilling to even make eye contact. Perhaps it was just an off night for him.
My guy and I went to dinner and had 36 (yes 36) oysters that night, plus some apps. Every single one was delicious. We also had the po' boy sliders, prawns on plantains, Bibb lettuce salad, and cheddar biscuits (small plates) and they were also fabulous. We sat in the bar area on one of their couches and enjoyed our meal and the very unique decor (our favorite were the white leather bar stools). Really great place for a date or a dinner with friends.
Small plate? How about extra small plate of Fried oysters (3)?
?170 for 1 small appetizers, 1 doz amazing oysters on the half shell, 2 small plates, 4 drinks 170? Good but small portions and overpriced. We had to order a plate of fries so we wouldn’t leave hungry
We love Frank's Sunday brunch. On Easter each of us (6) had outstanding meals. My eggs Benedict with tomato and avocado was the best I've ever had. The service as great - as usual.
Unfortunately, service was slow, I think because the kitchen was slow. Food was ok but unremarkable. My cod had a gigantic dollop of aioli which was just wrong on white fish, almost felt like they were trying to hide something. The SRW menu didn’t match their regular menu exactly, prob to save money. Just felt tacky. Here’s your chance to win new diners, you should put your best foot forward. All in all lacked finesse, and that is what I was expecting for the price and marketing. I wanted to love this place but was disappointed. Might try brunch to see if that is their forte.
We had a great experience celebrating a 40th bday! All 6 of us enjoyed the service and food! We look forward to returning soon.
3rd visit for Brunch, easy to make a reservation or get a table at walk in. Food plentiful and Delicious
Very good food and very good service in a restaurant where one doesn't have to shout to be heard. I'll look forward to going again.
We went for a late lunch and it was awesome! We all decided on the Oyster Po'Boy and it was excellent. Just the right amount of spicyness and very nice oysters. It came with a nice lightly dressed salad, and we ordered some fries to share. A perfect lunch.
We enjoyed the baked oysters that paired perfectly with the rosè champagne. My only suggestion would be to add a gluten free bun for the hamburger.
My husband and I love Frank's, it's a little on the pricey end but so worth it. The food is absolutely delicious neither of us have ever had anything we didn't love.
the only thing was that the music played was too jazzy and loud - made me want to eat faster but otherwise everything was perfect and we will definitely be back
Exceeded expectations across the board. Doubled down on chicken and waffles after round 1.
good food, good value
Four yummy breakfasts plus leftovers. A casual comfortable restaurant.
