We arrived early for our booking which was no issue, and they seated us straight away. The restaurant is strikingly beautiful in such a gorgeous old building. There were only the regular menus on the table, so I had to ask for the early bird menu, which the staff seemed like they didn’t really want to give us. The food was absolutely delicious. Fresh and piping hot. The service was a little slow, but overall a great evening and would definitely return!

Having recently returned from Turkey a friend and I decided to 'get our fix' and tried Mevan. The kebabs we ordered were one of, if not the best, we've ever had, including in the country itself! Staff were attentive and the food came out quickly. Well worth a visit. We'd pre-booked as it was a Saturday night but there were a few tables free so walk-ups are probably possible.

Wonderful Sunday roast at The Angel in Highgate! Great location, bright and welcoming atmosphere, and an excellent roast with delicious vegetarian options. A lovely spot for a leisurely Sunday lunch. Highly recommended!
