Cecelia was our waitress and took very good care of us! Food was great. The best French onion soup I’ve ever had. And the fish… so good! We will be back!

It was a very quiet night at Javier’s Downtown when we went prior to a concert. The service was excellent. We have dietary restrictions that make eating out difficult but our server was great about checking with the chef about what would work for us. Our meal was delicious. We were there early and able to take advantage of the Happy Hour drink menu - a great value. I loved that we were able to have a leisurely meal but never felt ignored by our server. The vibe is very eclectic and fun - lots of lights, music playing in the background. They do include a 20% gratuity on the check, but our server pointed that out to us when he delivered our bill - and had it highlighted - so there was no missing that piece.

From entering and being greeted by Nina, who promptly seated us, to our outstanding server, Lauren, we could not have asked for a better experience. It didn't hurt that the Prime Filet Sliders done rare and the Crab / Avocado appetizer was FANTASTIC!

I met up with a couple of friends at the Davis - Craft Kitchen to enjoy the selection of beers from the Refined Fool and have dinner. Good selection of beers to try and the special of the night was Chipotle Ribs. They were superb - juicy, great smoked character and not overly spicy. The half rib order was plenty. My friends ordered the tacos and a vegetarian dish and they both enjoyed it. It was walking distance to the Imperial Theatre where I was heading to after our gathering.
