Best Hot Spot Restaurants in Darien

Went there last night for my birthday meal. Two people in our group are handicapped and I wrote a note on my reservation to indicate that we wanted a booth. We were greeted right away and ushered to our table. We had EXCEPTIONAL service. When you are celebrating a meal it is really nice when the staff do special things. I have been to this restaurant on more occasions than I count and I just felt like last night was overly special. The food was outstanding and the friendly service and attention to detail was enough for me to keep going back.

I’ve been coming here with my husband since we were just a couple years into dating when they were still new to Oak Brook. We’ve gone for lunch and dinner every now and then ever since. We reserved a table for two for our one year marriage anniversary this weekend and they never disappoint. We arrived ten minutes early and we were sat quickly. Christian was helping us this time and he was very attentive and kind to us. The entire staff over the years has been so wonderful to us. It’s part of the reason why we keep coming back. It goes without saying that the food and drinks are excellent. We’ve tried most of the menu over the last 7 years and it’s always been great. Our go-tos are the sashimi tacos, wagyu dumplings, crispy shrimp, roasted beet salad, both Snake River Farms entrees, and the Suzumebachi and Moscow Mule cocktails. If you want to have a well-rounded tasting before committing to dinner, please try coming for lunch. Their lunch menu is well proportioned to not be so heavy and very well priced. If I remember correctly, if you pick an entree in their lunch menu, it comes with edamame, miso soup, and a beet salad. Please give this a try if you like Japanese fusion dining, it truly is a treat. TLDR: Japanese fusion is excellent with nice staff. Treat yourself and splurge on the food and drinks.

The service was very professional and our waitress was very kind. We were celebrating a birthday and had a great dinning experience. The food was delicious and came out in a timely manner. Thank you for making this a great night!

Ate at bar. Placed has good Menu and options along with attentive bartender. Might have had to Much food which required a take home container. Very shareable portions
