Lunch was delicious (definitely lived up to our expectations). We had the 3 course seasonal menu. Starters were wings (very moreish) and beer battered cod bites (batter was lovely and crispy) For our main we had the smashed burger and French fries ( delicious and very filling). After having a few minutes rest we managed to find room for the vanilla panna cotta with cherry compote and dark chocolate shavings. At the end there was even a happy birthday candle! We had a wonderful experience and would happily come back again. Thank you for an enjoyable meal. We would definitely recommend. The food was piping hot. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The food was consistently incredible. Ambience: very cozy and romantic. Moreover, I was inadvertently a very difficult guest before our arrival. I had booked on the wrong day and had to reschedule the booking, then I had to reduce the size of the party from 4 to 2. The night we went the Jazz Quartet was playing a range of standards and were really professional and high quality. The food was a revelation - 5 course fish menu at a set price and a range of delicious desserts. Each course was a delight, really fresh produce and beautifully prepared and cooked. The service was friendly and professional and the overall ambience was great. For a meal of this quality and quantity £40 pp was fantastic value.
