Come dine in this beautifully restored Uptown restaurant on Magazine Street and enjoy James Beard Award Winning Chef Justin Devillier's contemporary Louisiana Cuisine. The La Petite Grocery name pays homage to the history of its home, a building that’s stood for more than a century. The original structure was built in the late 1800s and called the Central Tea, Coffee and Butter Depot. In 1908, a fire devastated the space and it was transformed into a full service grocery store. Later it was most notably a fine foods and butcher shop, VonderHaar’s Fine Foods until 1982. When La Petite Grocery opened in March of 2004, they similarly aspired to provide the neighborhood with exotic teas, locally roasted coffee, and fresh produce. By doing this, we hope to provide a dining experience that evokes nostalgia of old New Orleans. Reservations are preferred.

It’s always an amazing time at Bon Ton! The food & drinks was incredible. Our waiter Fleming was very personable, funny and kept me and table guest well entertained. He made great suggestions for the newbies that they thoroughly enjoyed! So I’ll end this how I started by saying…..it’s always an amazing time at Bon Ton Prime Rib!

We love this restaurant. The ambience is busy, bistro-like. The staff members are charming and professional. The food is amazing. We started with a delicious endive salad featuring figs and cashew butter—so yummy. Our entrees-a chicken breast with cornbread stuffing and tasso for me and rabbit with spaetzli and spinach for my husband-were perfectly done, well balanced, and delicious. For dessert we tried the peach curd tart with a white wine gelato and also the butterscotch pudding which was dreamy. Accompanied by lovely wines, the dinner was so good. Highly recommend!
