Outstanding in every way! I used to frequent Nicollet Island back in the 80's and 90's until I relocated. I was in town for a visit and decided to have dinner there. It was as excellent as ever! I was so happy to see they had maintained their exceptional performace! I wish they would bring back their delicious breakfasts, but I understand that the labor shortage has made it difficult.

Food was great as was the service. It's pretty loud in there, so conversation is a little challenging if that's what you're looking for. But, the vibe is fun and energetic. My wife and I were definitely a couple of the older crowd in there, but never felt out of place or awkward. We'll be back.

This place is a find❗️ Varied dinner menu from homemade soups, fab salads, lots of vegetable sides, to steaks and salmon and chops. Quiet enough to enjoy diner conversations! Lovely booths for privacy and comfort. Great lunch menu, too, with always delicious burgers, sandwiches, salads, soups, etc. Can eat a little or a lot, depending how hungry you are. Service consistently heat as is food quality. Z. Accommodating chefs and servers. Can’t say enough good about Milwaukee Road!!!
