Best Sunday Lunch Restaurants in Little Italy / University Village

Outstanding service, outstanding meal. No regrets.

My family and I went to Boqueria to celebrate my birthday and it was a phenomenal experience. Our waiter was attentive, kind, and knowledgeable. The food was amazing! Highly recommend the chicken skewers and crispy potatoes. Since it was my birthday I was gifted a selection of dessert as well. 10/10 will be back!

I love Hawksmoor. Every time I go the service is spectacular. The ambience is lovely. The wine list is really great and reasonably priced, and the cocktails are well made. As for food, the steak is always solid, and some of my favorite things are the Tunworth Mash side and the happy hour Reuben Bites. Yeah, the food is expensive, but it's an elevated steakhouse. I save it for a special occasion because it's not in my once a week budget, but I'm always happy to be there when I can make it in.

We always take out-of-town visitors to Chicago’s best restaurant — The Oakville. My wife’s best friend was in town, so we have to keep our weekend Brunch tradition! Once again — the personnel exceed even the amazing food quality to make Oakville the most amazing dining experience. We saw several of our favorites — Eric, Nathan, & Carl — which always makes it feel like seeing good friends. Do yourself favor — go to Oakville Brunch!

Loved our time at Parlor Pizza Bar. The drinks, food, and service were all great. We had the balsamic glazed fried mozzarella, brussel sprouts and fried calamari for starters. All were excellent. We also ordered a variety of pizzas and they came out piping hot and perfectly baked. For dessert we ordered the Peanut Butter Bomb, Chocolate Cake and Fried Gelato- they were seriously all delicious. Rarely do I find a place that does an entire meal so well. I was really impressed by the quality of food and the reasonable prices. We were part of a group of five & our bill after taxes was only $250. That was with 4 alcoholic drinks, 3 sodas, 3 appetizers, 3 pizzas and 3 desserts. The only thing we didn’t like was how loud it was, but it was Saturday night. I would absolutely recommend this place and can’t wait to go back.
