Best Restaurants for Spicy Food in Salt Spring Island

Been eating in Vancouver at Michelin recommended restaurants for the past week. Next stop was Victoria and found Cafe Malabar, by far best food we have had over the last 8 days. Had the Lamb Shank Biriyani and was literally fall off the bone tender and the flavor was amazing. Table also had the Tuna Aleppo Fish Curry which the flavors were perfect. Service was amazing, conversational and always plenty of information and guidance on what we were eating and odering Highly recommend and bring an appetite, lots of food coming. If Michelin reviewed Victoria I believe this would be a recommended restaurant.

Food was excellent. There was lots to chose from with interesting dishes that I have not seen in other Indian restaurants. The service was good and friendly. The decor is very elegant and the atmosphere quiet. It is nice to be able to have a conversation over a meal without straining your voice. Overall it is good value and great to find this somewhat hidden gem of a restaurant
