I was impressed by my whole experience. The waitress was super attentive and warm. It really shows she cares for her customers and wants them to served quickly and efficiently. Also, the restaurant was so lovely decorated for Halloween, I really enjoyed looking at the decor! The menu had a lot of vegetarian options, which had generous portions and delicious! They offered free tea at the end of the meal which was a nice touch. The whole vibe was just so nice. I really enjoyed my evening with my friends there. As soon as the waitress found out it was my birthday, she brought out a dessert with a sparkly stick! I highly recommend you stop by! 10/10

Being from Texas, we were very curious to try this restaurant which positions itself is a hybrid of Texas style Haitian food, and it did not disappoint. I had the jerk chicken, which was extremely flavorful, but not overwhelmingly hot as some chicken tends to be. It was paired with pickled onions and sautéed cabbage, which did have a bit of heat, but it played very nicely with the chicken. My husband had the griot, which was a delicious buttery flavorful pork shoulder. Both our dishes were accompanied by lovely rice and beans with a delicious sauce drizzled over the top. This was our first introduction to Haitian food and now we will definitely see it out at home.

Our waitress was wonderful, very friendly and helpful with wine selections! It was very hot in the restaurant, and we were not given enough menus for the entire table, so we had to share. Otherwise, we were very happy with the restaurant.

I'm a tough critic generally, but my friends and I were unanimous: everything was superb! We ordered about 8 or 9 dishes, and every single one was top-notch: bursting with flavour and creativity, elegant and well-balanced - just perfect. And the originality is really a standout: there's no other restaurant I know in Montreal that's doing what Chou Chou is doing! The service was extremely attentive and proactively helpful, too, with suggestions and even the billing (a bit complicated among 6 people), well above and beyond the usual. And the value for money is excellent! It came to about 130 a person (tax and tip included), including cocktails and wine. A treat, for sure, but worth every penny. I'll be back!

Wonderful evening and meal at Joe Beef! The service was excellent and the food was perfect. No notes. We had oysters, escargot, bone marrow, the foie gras double down and shared the beef bourguignon. The vegetable was delicata squash with nuts and honey. Every single dish was delicious prepared perfectly. I’m glad we tried the foie gras double down which is a different than the classic prep. All washed down with a martini and a nice beaujolais. Our waiter was also very helpful, guiding us through the menu.
