Best Restaurants with a Fireplace in Morris

First time dining at the Courtroom last evening. Very happy with our experience. Cocktails (the Attitude Adjustment and Figs Up) were spot-on, both beautiful and delicious, as were each of our appetizer, Abner and Heirloom tomato/Burrata salads, shared very flavorful ribeye entree and a memorable chocolate tart dessert. (Basque cheesecake could have been more caramelized.) The Focaccia was easily worth every carb. Fantastic wine list - Some very good options! Server, Hector, very attentive. Bartender jumped right in when anything in addition was needed. Terrific teamwork and thus, service. Quiet when we first arrived, and noticed that the sound increased quickly as others arrived - especially one particularly vocal person. We truly enjoyed our experience and most certainly look forward to sharing it next time with our families. Well done!

A gem in Litchfield! Interesting menu, prepared with care and nicely presented. The pairing of duck breast with almost raw turnips may not be everyone’s cup of tea though. Service was friendly and attentive; the assortment of wines carefully chosen. For dessert I had a daring sorbet of berries and anise. Ummm. We will certainly go back on our next visit to Litchfield to sample some more items at this elegant venue.

This was a gift to family members and lived up to my fondest expectations.

Our second trip to Oxford House Tavern, and it didn't let us down! Everyone ordered different entrées just like on our prior visit, and all of us were thrilled with our choices. We will definitely return for another visit.
