Best Restaurants with a Fireplace in Greenport

The Chequit restaurant experience was excellent -- Both the service and food! Attentive, friendly staff and all our dishes were truly delicious and a good value for the quality and serving size. We enjoyed a generous perfectly prepared hamburger (I was offered a GF bun) which came with hand cut fries, pasta w/clams, crustless cheesecake (shareable) and Pinot Grigio, bread and butter. (One of us is GF -- unfortunately the menu does not indicate they are GF friendly, so we had hesitated coming sooner.)

Love this restaurant. It is not your typical Hamptons scene, which unfortunately tends to be showy and loud, people wanting to be seen. The rooms are elegant, warm and cosy, remind me of a New England inn. The noise level is merciful, you can actually hear your dining partners without shouting. The food is classic and beautifully prepared. The regular menu pricing is in line with the typical Hamptons costs that is to say, expensive.But the off season prix fixe is the best bargain in the Hamptons.

Have not been in 2 years. Food was great . All 4 of us loved our food. Sat outside , they offered heaters and blankets , but we are just fine the way we were.

Beautiful food, delicious views, charming host. Definitely worth the visit.

What an incredible experience!! A must! I felt like I was in a movie having a little tea party! I believe it’s the owner served us. She’s incredible…. Beautiful memory I had with my family.
