Cute NBC + Halloween decor at our lobby bar table, a glass of prosecco to kick things off, and some seriously good food. Standouts: the truffle egg sandwich, their house-made orange jam, and my favorite, the coffee eclair. Four generous tea sandwiches (truffle egg salad, roast beef, smoked salmon on a petit everything bagel, ham + cheese with tomato jam), a savory thyme and bacon scone with real clotted cream, lemon curd, and homemade jam, plus a dessert spread with cranberry cheesecake, a fruit Madeline, a fudge-filled macaron, and a bourbon pecan tart. More than I could finish. Shoutout to our server Sophie, who was friendly and attentive all afternoon. One tiny note: there's just one tea for the whole service, no choice. It was lovely, but I'd have loved a black tea with the savories and the herbal with the sweets. Tasty, playful, and fun.
