Fantastic food and service. Seating for 2 people or less was at the counter, but that gave us a great opportunity to speak to staff, who were so friendly. The food was excellent with very good portions. Would highly recomend.

We loved the floor to ceiling windows giving a beautiful bier of downtown Boston. The service was outstanding. We were just there for the caviar happy hour but enjoyed the caviar service, a cold lobster tail and a lobster roll. All delicious. And they make a mean martini!!

Everything was fantastic! From the person who seated us and patiently accommodated our indecision about where to sit to our server and the other staff who assisted, we had a lovely evening. The food was delicious and served fresh and hot, in just the right amount of time after we ordered. Our server, Danielle, was so pleasant and attentive from start to finish. Our second round of drinks took a bit long to arrive but the restaurant was busy at that point. Excellent quality of food and drink and portion sizes too. We also greatly appreciated the intimate atmosphere, and especially no loud music (that has become a problem at many restaurants). This was our first visit and it won't be our last; we're just sorry we waited so long to try The Buttery.

I really like this place, went to celebrate my work promotion. Was a little late to my reservation, there was a middle aged gentleman, not sure if he is the owner but he made me feel comfortable and welcomed. Service is fast and the food is to die for. I definitely recommend :)
