Great food, great vibe, great service. Everything you want in a country pub!

I found The Plough Inn through AI after searching for a cute pub at the midpoint between two locations — and it absolutely pulled it out of the bag! I mentioned on the booking that it was a fourth date, and the wonderful lady who looked after us genuinely went above and beyond. She chose her favourite table for us and, when we decided to move outside, couldn't have been more accommodating. She was so attentive, warm and friendly and honestly made the whole experience ten times better. The food itself was flawless — the homemade ice creams were a particular highlight — and with someone playing guitar in a nearby garden, the whole atmosphere was just magical. Such a special lunch and an absolute gem of a pub.

I can honestly say in my 40 years on this planet I have ever been out for a meal anywhere where the staff are so friendly helpful and attentive. Absolutly fantastic service from everyone! Would highly recommend. Thank you.

Always a pleasure to visit this beautiful quiet country pub, amazing food, great service and lovely atmosphere, our dogs are always welcomed and made a fuss off too.

A very warm welcome from reception through to the restaurant. The service was friendly, professional and delightful. The food was delicious. Would recommend for a lovely Sunday lunch carvery.
