Filomena is one of those rare restaurants that feels like it has been there forever because it has earned the right to be. Every room is packed with character, from the handmade pasta displays to the old world Italian atmosphere that somehow feels both elegant and comfortable at the same time. The food is exactly what you hope for when you walk through the door. The pasta is fresh, rich, and made with obvious care. Portions are generous without sacrificing quality. Every dish feels like it came from a family recipe that has been perfected over generations rather than a kitchen trying to follow trends. What stands out most is that Filomena understands hospitality. The staff keeps a busy dining room running smoothly while making guests feel welcome. Even when the restaurant is packed, there is an energy to the place that adds to the experience instead of taking away from it. Washington is full of restaurants that come and go, but Filomena remains because it focuses on the things that matter: great food, quality ingredients, and making people happy. It is the kind of place you bring first time visitors, family, and friends because you know they will leave impressed. A true Georgetown institution and one of my favorite restaurants in Washington.

Loved our experience staff was amazing, ambience was great! We arrived early for our reservation first thing in the morning and they even seated us before officially opening. Everything we ate and drank was delicious! Definitely will be returning
