The food was delicious, and the chefs in house chilli oil and hot sauce was incredible too!More infoBlu Ristorante$$$$• Italian• Entertainment District•4.7

- TTeddyGoldWinnipeg / Manitoba •20 reviews4.0Dined 4 days agoLocated inside TIFF Bell Lightbox, with the iconic CN Tower just outside the window, Luma offers a modern, minimalist setting complemented by a cinematic atmosphere that makes dinner feel a little more special. We ordered the Yellowfin Tuna Tartare, Roast Beef Picanha, Ontario Rainbow Trout, Lemon Posset, and Rhubarb + Custard, and also tried the Crispy Asparagus. The Yellowfin Tuna Tartare was the highlight of the evening. Fresh, delicate, and beautifully balanced, the yuzu added a bright citrus note while the crisp apple brought a refreshing contrast in texture. The Ontario Rainbow Trout was perfectly cooked—tender, flaky, and naturally sweet—paired with fennel, tomatoes, and fregola for a light, summery dish. It was my first time trying Picanha, and it exceeded expectations. I had imagined it would be quite rich because of its fat cap, but it turned out to be remarkably well-balanced. Juicy and full of beefy flavor without feeling heavy, it was definitely worth ordering. The only disappointment was the Crispy Asparagus. The asparagus was a little too fibrous and over-mature, making it the weakest dish of the meal. For dessert, the Lemon Posset provided a bright, refreshing finish, while the Rhubarb + Custard pleasantly surprised us with its rich vanilla custard, tangy rhubarb, and buttery strawberry cake. Overall, Luma leans more toward a fine dining experience, focusing on quality ingredients and precise execution rather than unnecessary complexity. Combined with the artistic ambiance of TIFF and the view of the CN Tower, the $55 Summerlicious dinner offered excellent value and left us looking forward to another visit.More infoLuma$$$$• Global, International• Entertainment District•4.3
