Booked last minute, on a Thursday, and arrived to find a lovely, warm, and welcoming inn. There was a gentle background buzz of chat. The fire was on, and it was pie night. That is, pie of the day, with a veg side, and a pint or a wine, for £22. The food was really good and tasty, the portion ideal, and we left very happy with our good fortune.

This was our first time at The Folly and it was really great. Not a big menu but enough food choices and the food was lovely. The portion sizes were generous and everything was tasty. Venue is good - right by the river so I imagine it is a great place to be in the summer.

Extremely warm greeting and service throughout the whole evening. The pub has a German theme week so alongside the normal menu is a whole German menus which was great fun and very tasty. Great selection of wines and beers to complement the menu.
