- RRonaldovipCaribbean •14 reviews5.0Dined 2 days agoWe joined 2 locals for dinner last night. It was our first time to eat there. We ‘re visiting from Austin, Texas, and all I can say is that Cafe Degas is one more reason to come back to New Orleans. The atmosphere is lovely, quirky and warm. Our server, Kenzie, was so friendly and welcoming, and she used to live in Austin, but the highlight was the food! The escargot was fantastic, the fried oysters were some of the best we’ve ever had, 3 of us couldn’t resist the swordfish special, which was divine, with perfectly cooked asparagus and haricot vert, but our friend ordered the lamb lollipops, which she said were exquisite. We feel badly that we closed the place, but the staff was so kind when we left. It was a perfect evening. We’ll have to eat here every time we visit the City. Our girlfriend who introduced us to this restaurant said she has such fond memories of Cafe Degas because she and her grandmother ate here often. It was a favorite of her grandmother. Now it’s a favorite of ours.More infoCafe DegasPrice: Expensive• French• Mid-City / City Park•4.7

- MMaresiavipTampa / Central Florida West •9 reviews5.0Dined 6 days agoWe love this place. Every time we come to NOLA this is one of our must dine place. Dennis was our server and he made us feel like VIPs. The food is alway amazing so you can’t go wrong with anything they have on the menu. The lobster dumplings are a must experience. The biscuits are alway delectable. I encourage if you are in NOLA add this to your itinerary.More infoGW FinsPrice: Very Expensive• Seafood• French Quarter•4.9
- TTammyNew Orleans / Louisiana •5 reviews5.0Dined on Nov 25, 2024I took my husband here prior to the Justin Timberlake concert. The wait staff was very friendly from the hostess to the food runner. The food that our waitress, Monica recommended was delicious. It was impressive to have someone that could explain the food and what was worth trying. We will definitely be back to try out the pasta and wine!More infoSofia New OrleansPrice: Expensive• Italian• Warehouse District•4.7
- SSharonPhiladelphia County •8 reviews5.0Dined on Sep 20, 2024We were getting in to the city late and decided just to eat dinner in our hotel so we wouldn’t have to find anything. Luckily for us, we picked the right hotel! I of course got the sampler of three different traditional NOLA items: red beans and rice; gumbo; and jambalaya. Perfect way to start our vacation. A few days later we just popped down to the bar lounge for a final beer and dessert and pleasant conversation with the bartender.More infoLegacy Kitchen's TackleboxPrice: Moderate• Seafood• Central Business District•3.9
