An exceptionally stylish supper club, civilized speakeasy, a sophisticated saloon. Each of these "personae" is housed in a soaring two-story interior distinguished by a gently curving mahogany bar, fluted columns with ornate capitals, stunning original art, plush banquettes, cozy booths, starched linens, glittering glasses, and polished flatware. Overall, the ambiance is pure 1930's and 1940's - tasteful art moderne reminiscent of the glory days of Cunard and French Line ships. Fashionable and glamorous are the hallmarks. First time. Great experience, excellent customer service from the moment we walked in. Food was excellent. Ambience was very nice, lighting was soft, beautiful interior, and the music in the background was very nice. Overall noise level a bit loud, but still, what a great setting for a couples/date night setting. Not inexpensive if that's a factor. We will definitely be going back!

Expensive but really great restaurant. Enter to a huge , chic, family style restaurant. Table for 20, table for two, open kitchen and lamb roasting on the flame. Chic but not intimidating. Warm and cozy. You will enter another universe, close to downtown SF. Food is really great, instantly making you travel in the Mediterranean sea. The food is simple but it’s working really well.

Very memorable food , service, ambience! Everything is so unusual & most delicious of anything you can imagine. One drawback to our experience: 2 times (one seating after another) they put parents with 2 small children & stroller next to tables of us celebrating birthdays. The children were cranky & disruptive. It put a damper on our enjoyment. I don’t think this is a restaurant for children & I don’t think the parents enjoyed their time. Hopefully next time this will not be happening.
