Best Family Style Restaurants in Downtown / Loring Park

Overall fantastic experience. Our waiter was the sweetest and when we didn’t love one of the starters, he took it off our bill (unprompted). Pork chop is huge! And delish! Tri tip was very good but I wasn’t used to the middle being more rare (that’s on me). Hush puppies was very good! Apple butter with the Texas toast was the best I’ve ever had. Salmon was as expected. Did not love the Mac and cheese, a little dry and the meat/cheese combo just didn’t hit. Cucumber salad was good. The lemon dessert was delish! The juneberry spritz was light and barely tasted like alcohol. Overall it was a great dinner when we brought my daughter to U of M for a tour.

Amazing. We tried a little bit of almost everything from the à la carte menu. Everything was very tasty. Servers are incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. Can’t wait to come back!

Absolutely scrumptious. The Saffron downtown was a favorite place for special occasion’s and we were over the moon when it opened again. It does not disappoint. The food is even more inventive, yet rooted. Love everything about it. Thank you for making us feel welcome and giving us a taste of unbelievably good food.
