Best Comfort Food Restaurants in San Francisco Bay Area

We had a great date night there! It was such a vibe overall--great atmosphere, drinks and food! Love the Stracciatella dish! Lively busy spot for a good night out in SF.

Incredible food, incredible service and our server Sadat was incredible!!!

The food was extraordinary. Really tasty. The service was also top-notch. The room itself was quite noisy and chilly, but also nicely appointed. I sat on a band cat, which was very comfortable, but my co-diner chair was hard and cold, especially because it was in the breeze of the doorway. On a warm San Francisco day or night it would be lovely to sit outside and in the restaurant. But it was a bit chilly inside. And the noise made me consider that another time I would come would be hopefully when it’s not so busy. But I will go back again. The little gem salad with anchovy and egg was one of the best salads I’ve ever had and the bruschetta with fava beans and ricotta was also fantastic. Our risotto which had shrimp was Yum and the pesto pasta was delicious though could’ve used a little extra cheese and salt, which I asked for. An overall very pleasant dining experience.

The overall experience was great, the owner treated me like family and gave personal recommendations from the type of drink to the type of food. Speaking of the food?? THIS PLACE IS EXCEPTIONAL. Beyond flavorful and balanced with quite large servings. Yes it is a bit of a pork heavy menu, but don’t let that deter you. This might be the best Korean food I’ve had in a very, very long time. I will be back!
