Emmer & Rye is a restaurant designed around the farmer’s haul, featuring a menu that changes daily with a focus on seasonal and local cuisine. Heirloom grains are milled fresh for house made pastas, breads, and desserts, whole animal butchery is done on site, and an extensive in house fermentation program captures flavors at their peak and preserves them for the off season.

The food was delicious ! The servers seemed nice , this may sound strange. But for a fine dining experience, the food was served entirely too quickly. We were in and out, served and paid, in under 20 minutes and that was not our expectation at all. It was not particularly crowded for Sunday evening, and we were dressed well and quite polite. We are foodies and enjoy new dining experiences and so we’re very surprised at this.

Fantastic! We were celebrating my husband’s birthday and hadn’t been to Emmer & Rye in a long time. So glad we came back. Every dish was delicious and interesting, servers were attentive, and we were pleasantly surprised by the complimentary sparkling wine to start. Rainey St has changed a lot, but E&R is as wonderful as always!
