The self-taught phenom championed seasonal and sustainable cuisine before it was cool, and she brings to AKASHA’s menus global influences from Hawaii and Mexico to Italy and India. Richmond’s background in art and yoga infuses a touch of hippie chic to the venue’s steel, concrete and brick structure. Husband and I went to get a bite before a play at the Kirk Douglas. We had a reservation for a table but decided to sit at the bar. The service was fast and friendly. Wednesday is fun because bottles of wine are half off so it's a great deal. We had the tandoori chicken wings, brussel sprouts and the smashburger. Everything was delicious, perfectly seasoned and very fresh. We will definitely be back soon!
