Vogue cover girl Daisy is an iconic face of the British fashion scene, having been the face of brands including Marc Jacobs and Agent Provocateur as well as hitting the catwalk for the likes of Chanel, Burberry and Vivienne Westwood. As well as fashion, Daisy has a real passion for food, releasing her own cookbook ‘Sweetness and Light’, a guide to sumptuous desserts without artificial sugar. We asked Daisy for the ‘Lowe down’ on her hot spots for a date around London.

A sensational example of a restaurant unafraid to look deep into the history books to create carefully considered, beautifully balanced dining in a progressive manner. Theatrical? Certainly, but Dinner is a lesson that style and substance can exist bilaterally. Magnificent. Lowe Down: Order the Tipsy Cake with Spit Roast Pineapple. It will need to be ordered at the start of the meal as the kitchen require the time to tend to it. If wavering, study the caramelizing fruits displayed in kitchen. They will tell you everything you need to know.

Core is a truly elegant affair. A bastion for British flavours, this is a restaurant that evidently is desperately proud of the produce it sources and curates to put in front of its diners. If you are ambivalent to whether-or-not magic exists, Core will set the record straight. Lowe Down: While A-La Carte is an option, the tasting menus offered here are truly spectacular. There can be little doubt that this will be the highlight of your culinary year.

St John is a restaurant that delivers on all fronts: unapologetic, conscious cooking and consistently excellent. If its reputation is not enough to pull you in, then its ethos certainly is: it is one of the many reasons I will never tire of dining here. Lowe Down: St John is the perfect restaurant to push the boat out and take a risk on eating cuts of meat you are unfamiliar with. Your bravery will be rewarded.

Dining here will stir your soul; the precision and prudence invested into every aspect of the dining experience, let alone each carefully considered plate, carries enough emotion to make you weep. Sensational. Lowe Down: This restaurant should be reserved for celebrative occasions. You will know when the time has come to pay a visit.

Lovely dining experience. Surprisingly informal yet chilled, and enjoyable. There were 2 tasting menus - the standard and the prestige. We chose the standard. Without the supplement of truffle linguine. You start with an amuse bouche trio of lobster and langoustine, pulled beef and one of chickpea Seasoning spot on It looked wonderful First course was a spring dish of garden peas and asparagus custard. Refreshing and sweet but fresh. First course of jersey royals with cheese foam and asparagus. Its wonderful, cheese was savoury. Potatoes were sliced soft and delicious. A great start Course 2 was ravioli of lobster and langoustine with a sauce American (like a lobster bisque). It was luxurious and sweet - tasted of the sea with a hint of the med. The next course was the turbot. The fish flaked beautifully but was perhaps not my fav. Nothing wrong but it ranked below the others. The white asparagus was excellent but perhaps difficult to cut; didnt get given a knife perhaps nxt time we need more than just spoon and fork. The showcase was the hogget. Every mouthful of the confit meat you got flavour. It was divine. The dish of the day! There was a hiccup in that my sausage had a tiny bit of bone. They were apologetic and so offered complimentary cheese to us which we gleefully accepted. The first desert was a sorbet of rhubarb with a vanilla custard. It was stunning to the eye. The final desert was pecan praline - the desert wine as part of the pairing was aged and v sweep and we were worried would this be a sugar overload. The desert was outstanding and not overtly sweet but still luxurious. You got a sense of coffee, cocoa nib and almond. Total cost incl service came to £500 per head. It incl the wine pairing. Food was excellent. Its one to tick off. In my top 2 of all time and ive dined at Alain Ducasse, Sketch, Dinner amongst others.

Rarely a restaurant will live to celebrate its centurion year, let alone thrive through it. Enter J. Sheekey, an undisputed classic with a famous sole-focus on celebrating seafood. The confidence in the sustainably sourced produce is evident through its uncomplicated and untampered dishes; I wouldn’t have it any other way. Dine here and you will soon see that you wouldn’t either. Lowe Down: Don’t feel unadventurous if you wish to stick with the classics. They are archetypal dishes for a reason.
