Bal Harbour
An exquisite Japanese eatery in the Bal Harbour shops, Makoto bears the name of the chef and owner, Makoto Okuwa. The focus here is on modernizing Japanese cuisine, via inventive sushi, robata-grilled skewers, and stunning presentation. There are two types of ramen on offer here. The chicken ramen combines tender meat with tonkatsu broth. The house ramen is a luxurious mix of ground beef, pork, garlic, and a hit of chili. Contemporary yet always authentic.

Loved the Makoto experience. The food was absolutely incredible as well as the service. We went for my Birthday and I’d go again next year.

Pembroke Pines
The Shops at Pembroke Gardens is full of cool places to eat, but none of them can top the fun and trendy atmosphere at RA Sushi Bar. R is on a mission to “Undo Boring,” via exciting cocktails, inventive dishes, and the perfect mix of authentic Japanese flavor and chef creativity. Take a look at the “RAmen” menu. There are five different carefully crafted bowls on offer, each with its own unique flavor. The house ramen is the one to try on a first visit: Tonkotsu soy broth, soft boiled egg, green onions, nori, and of course, noodles. Satisfaction in every mouthful.

Doral
Miyako Doral is a unique concept, blending together the diverse cultures of Japanese and Peruvian cuisine. Regularly rated as serving some of the best ramen in Miami, Miyako offers two different types of noodle soup. The traditional ramen combines the ever-present noodles with a mix of authentic vegetables and a boiled egg. But for something more adventurous, try the Jjamppong, a spicy Korean noodle soup filled with fresh seafood. A great way to try something different.

This is our new favouite restaurant! On vacation with my son, we could not find parking near the restaurants we wanted to try in the cool shopping areas so we went to get gas and spotted what we thought was a normal sushi restaurant with lots of parking in front of it. We were wrong, this is not your run of the mill sushi restaurant! Miyako is a Peruvian/Japanese fushion restaurant and it was unbelievable! Our waiter Andres was great, we went with everything he recommended, perfect choices. Our favouite was the tiraditos which he allowed us to order 1/2 tuna, 1/2 hamachi (important to know they are flexible). The restaurant was full but we were able to sit at the bar and witness all the amazing dishes coming out of the kitchen. We also got to watch what was the coolest looking Peruvian? chef preparing sushi. Not hard on the eyes at all. Important to make reservations which we did for the following day and for the second night this restaurant did not disappoint. Our server Madeleine was very sweet. This time we had a table and although we ordered most of the same dishes as the night before, we were able to try some new dishes. We finished with 2 desserts that were delicious, a cheesecake sushi roll and some Thai donuts in sweetened condensed milk. Yum. I totally recommend you try this delicious and healthy restaurant!

Buena Vista
Shokudo roughly means “The Path to Good Food” and that’s certainly what regulars get every time they visit this Buena Vista based Asian bistro. The menu treads an eclectic and wondrous path between pho, sushi, ceviche, and some incredible ramen-style dishes. The Shiroshoyu Ramen combines chashu pork with bamboo shoots, egg, and the more unusual addition of burdock. There’s a spicy Jjamppong packed with mussels, calamari, and shrimp, plus plenty of other noodle and soup options. One of the most inventive menus in Miami.

Plantation
Kiko in Plantation is so authentically Japanese, that the décor is genuine Japanese wood that was flown in specially. There’s a 20 seat sushi bar where raw fans can indulge in expertly created rolls. Then the menu takes a trip across Thailand and Japan, stopping off to ensure guests have the opportunity to order some of the best ramen in Miami. The miso ramen utilizes classic miso broth, with toppings of ground pork, corn, onion and cabbage. The Shoyu ramen is a bit more of a show-off, packed with braised pork, egg, scallion, and fishcake. Exciting and authentic.

Delicious crispy spring rolls , healthy papaya salad with just the right spice. Tom Yum soup and Chicken Massaman were tasty and more than enough for two people. Looking forward to going again !

Colee Hammock
The name explains the concept at this beautiful waterside eatery. This is Latin Asian fusion, combining culinary influences from Korea, Thailand, Japan, and from all over Latin America. This fusion theme runs through the bar as well, with cocktails like the Asian Tequila Sunrise plus a range of sakes and wines. Ramen fans, it’s all about the miso seafood ramen here. The rich, umami-scented broth is overflowing with mussels, shrimp, and succulent scallops, plus authentic Asian veggies. Booking highly recommended.

Downtown
Las Olas is the home of exciting and enticing fusion restaurants, including this creative blend of Thai and Japanese cuisine. Sky Thai Sushi takes the best dishes from both countries and puts a unique spin on them, serving them up alongside an extensive and acclaimed sake menu. There are ten types of soup on offer here at any one time, including a great substitute for traditional ramen: the chicken wonton noodle soup. Shrimp tempura, bean sprouts, and chicken accompany the wontons and noodles in a warming broth. Very filling- it’s not called the “Big Bowl” for nothing.
