The 1839 Trustees’ Office was built by the Shakers as a place to warmly welcome and
conduct business with the people of “the world.” Shaker Village has continued this
tradition of kind service since Elizabeth Kremer oversaw the opening of The Trustees’
Table in 1968.

Much has changed since our nonprofit first formed in the 1960s, but there has been one
constant: good food served with gracious hospitality that will never go out of style.

Executive Chef Amber Hokams and Farm Manager HP Lovelace partner to bring
the freshest food to our guests every season. Local produce, grown in the soil of the
Bluegrass, is the foundation of our menu. “Making you kindly welcome” in the Shaker
tradition is the foundation of our service.

We invite you to pull up a chair at our table to enjoy signature dishes like Mrs. Kramer's Fried Chicken, Shaker Lemon Pie and locally raised beef. In the warmer months enjoy casual dining on the Trustees' Lawn tucked beside our certified-organic garden.

Delicious as well as a Beautiful presentation of foods! Make a reservation- eat, take a walk to enjoy the beautiful grounds, see and pet the farm animals. You will be rewarded with a peaceful feeling.

My husband and a friend visiting from NH went to Honeysuckle for our 46th anniversary. The drinks were so good and very reasonably priced. Jason (from NH) had the pork chops and I had the blackened catfish. What an amazing dish. I had not had catfish for many years but after having this wonderful meal, I plan on going back really soon. I also cannot say enough about our server, Dani. She is the epitome of service! This experience was a great blessing to all of us.
