Established in 2022 Such and Such is inspired by our love for art, design, restaurants and wine bars. Most of all it's about authentic, real hospitality. We offer exciting, seasonal dishes and beverages to suit any occasion from a casual lunch to a celebratory dinner.

If you like control, dine a la carte. Perhaps you don’t want to think? We offer three share style set menus including a pre theatre option.

The menu is an eclectic mix of snacks, share plates and intriguing desserts influenced by friendly gatherings, quality produce and cuisines from around the world.

Our cocktail and non alcoholic program uses products from growers we admire as well as ingredients that would otherwise be considered water.

Our wine list is a highlight. If you are keen on drinking a bottle, a glass, or more you can select from the 500+ bottle list featuring our favourite producers from near and far with styles ranging from wacky and wild to restrained and elegant. Most of all they are delicious.

Tucked away between buildings this is the best high end restaurant I have found in Canberra. The staff are amazing, we sat outside and it was fantastic on a cool summer evening. The tasting menu was perfect for a family meal.

Always a pleasure to return to this restaurant. Meals are always the same excellent calibre and there is nothing better than a spicy ramen on a cool Canberra day! Returned with family from interstate who had visited Ramen Daddy with us last visit and requested a revisit this time so I feel that says it all. As always, thank you 🙏🏼

In 2017, during her long-awaited holiday in Tokyo, Anj, our Head Chef, discovered a tiny ramen shop that changed her life. The bowl of ramen she tasted was a perfect blend of comforting flavors that brightened her spirits. After returning to Canberra, she found herself craving that unforgettable broth, leading her on a mission to replicate the joy it brought her.

This journey culminated over six years, resulting in the creation of Ikigai Ramen, a cozy restaurant designed by her father, Joe, where patrons can enjoy heart-warming bowls of ramen crafted with love.

Pilot is a restaurant that is truly us. Mal, Dash and Ross opened the venue with naive ambition in 2018.

Hosting a 24 seat dining room and small outdoor area we are located at the back of the local shops in Ainslie, Canberra.

We have chosen to offer a tasting menu to all guests.
The menus created by Malcolm Hanslow and Syed Rashid are inspired by our experiences, the people we have met and worked with and nostalgic dishes from times past.
Most of all it is about our love for food, fun and great hospitality.

Our entire beverage list by Kane Nelson is all Australian. It includes wine, beer, spirits, aperitifs and amari. Thursday evenings we allow BYO with all corkage sales going to a chosen organisation for the month.

Our non alcoholic and cocktail program created by Tom Opie uses native ingredients, local produce and ingredients that would otherwise be considered waste.

We also offer three optional pairings to accompany the tasting menus.
