honestly I’m not a big fan of going downtown but this place was totally worth it, it’s very difficult to find a place that’s fits your comfort zone. With the food answered the music playing it definitely hit my taste of what I’ve been looking for not only that but the drinks were amazing and the service was great and she was overall great . It was a little loud but I did not mind it it actually made me enjoy it more . My husband and I will be returning here and very soon .

We had a reservation for 7:30PM but there was only a table in the bar available for our family of 5 (which I rejected because it was so loud). We are seated 15 minutes later but it took another 20 minutes to get our drink orders in. 15 minutes later we had our drinks and could order food (just dinner, no appetizers). Took another 40 minutes for food to arrive. Waiter extremely apologetic but it was not that busy (they were woefully understaffed). Food was ok but pretty bland. It was 2 hours from the time we arrived until we left. Biggest problem is not enough staff.

Nice hidden spot. Went there for dinner during the Parade of Lights and everywhere was packed except Diego's. Great restaurant but since it isn't at street level it was being overlooked.

I went there twice for lunch when I was on a business trip. On the first day the service was excellent. On the second day the waiter was impatient, sarcastic, and unpleasant. Not sure what his deal was but he was rude and inconsiderate.

Went on a busy late night. It was nearby, I was hungry but because it was late and busy I had dozed off waiting for food to arrive. The waitress was great even though they were understaffed and she was doing her best and maintained a smile!!

The food is good, the salsa’s are all a bit mild. Not sure but lunch for 5 at 12:15 took 45 minutes, was not crowded, seemed like a long time for tacos and a couple of burritos.

Diego’s knows customer service! We were a group of 8 so we made a reservation. I received a call the day before our lunch to let me know that (for whatever reason) Diego’s was not allowed to serve alcohol on the Saturday afternoon our group was going to be there. They asked if we wanted to keep our reservation. I said yes, we would be fine. Then the employee said to make up for the lack of drink service, they would give our group free appetizers and dessert! That’s called customer service...I wish other restaurants had heard of it.

Had a Reservation. No table when we arrived. Took 10 minutes to be greeted by server and a further 10 minutes to GET drinks. Food took 15 minutes and was cool, not hot or warm. The server was very nice, but clearly overwhelmed. Likely will not be returning.

We came in for dinner before NYE fireworks. They were very understaffed for the amount of customers. It took 15 minutes for someone to come over to our table. We ordered drinks but were still deciding on food. We placed a food order shortly after, an appetizer and entrees. The entrees were delivered very fast but before our appetizer and drinks so we asked the status of drinks and to cancel the appetizer since we were planning to eat that before the entrees. Our drinks were finally brought over, and then the appetizer that we asked to be cancelled. We were told we wouldn't be charged for it but we could still eat it. We ordered another round of drinks but 15 minutes later they still hadn't arrived. We asked for those to be cancelled and just asked for our bill since we didn't want to miss the fireworks. The bill arrived and the appetizer was on it. Overall, very frustrating meal. The food was good but not worth it.

A group of 6 of us went to Diego's on our way home from the Women's March. Everything along the mall was packed; the crowds were much larger than expected. Open table really helped us find a place that could accommodate us. Despite the crowds, our server was fantastic, gave us helpful menu advice, took time with each of us,refilled chips and water. And the food was great!

We wouldn't expect to be treated like kings during NYE anywhere.. But the hosts and receptionists were very accommodative I'm adding more guests at request.. Very nice place

The most delicious and flavorful Mexican food in a festive atmosphere with a large varitey of menu items! Tucked away down a short flight of stairs on the corner of Champa and 16th street mall in Downtown Denver, Diego's provided an excellent meal at an affordable price! The green chili is deliciously homemade and comes in mild, medium or hot. Red chili is also available in 3 heat levels. Breakfast burritos are served freshly prepared all day. Very delicious meal and we'll be back soon!

Food was very good. Our group ordered shredded chicken taco salads and soft tacos. Overall, service was good. Food was delivered quickly and waiter split the checks.

We were a group of 12. Our reserved table was ready when we arrived, the service was top-notch, the food was delicious, AND the waiter was kind enough to do 12 separate tabs! No one does that anymore. Excellent experience.

The salsa bar here is really good with mild to spicy options. The queso was pretty good and the quesadilla appetizer was excellent. Unfortunately, the main dishes lacked spice and flavor. My wife had the fajita burrito and I had a combo with a taco, chile rellano, and chimichanga. None of it stood out. The margaritas were good and we would maybe come back for drinks and appetizers, but not for dinner.

We had a group of 32 during a very busy volleyball tournament weekend. We were excited that they could accommodate our group, and they gave us great service. The food was good and we had a very nice time.

We really enjoyed Diegos! We went for a casual Valentines dinner and received tasty food and a great margarita! The service was fast and our server was very attentive. We will definitely return!
