Devon Seafood Grill - Philadelphia
Since Me and My wife was off today. So I took her out for Brunch. We have fun. Food was delicious n our server rock🤟🏽🤙🏽🔥🔥🔥
This was the worse experience my food took over a hour it ever took over 45mins just for the bread... won't come back here due to the long wait and customer service
Dined here to celebrate my birthday and this was one of the worst dining experience I ever had. The food was horrific. I continued passed the appetizer hoping it would get better. It did not. My wife didn't even touch her entree. We had the shellfish appetizer, king crab entree and "fresh" trout entree. The food was either overcooked, taste as if they were frozen and thawed in a microwave, or simply not fresh. However, the service was okay. The manger and our server were very pleasant and accommodating regarding my allergy. Definitely look else where for seafood.
Amazing service and food. Very nice wine list.
Great the food was good and the Atmosphere was Awesome
Amazing the food was delicious and was a very nice portion. The staff was very helpful and welcoming.
Food was okay. Could have been better. The service is amazing, good drinks
Food was good when it finally came out. Our server was very gracious and kind and checked in to make sure we were ok frequently. She even gave us drinks for free because we were waiting so long for our food in an empty restaurant
Great dining experience! I took my husband for his birthday; had a great time! Food and drinks were exceptional!
Really nice place food very tasty especially the breadpuddin highly recommend
My experience dining st Devon was good. A few concerns I hope can be addressed prior to my return.
1. I was told my parking would be validated , however upon arriving to the parking garage@ 1728 Samson ( actual address given to me when I was called to confirm my reservation!) does not validate until 4:45pm. So I had to scramble to find another garage whose rates were even more expesive. So my supposedly simple efficient birthday lunch with a dear friend cost me thre times as much in total due to this issue.
2. Upon being seated the waiter who came by giving out the biscuits ( which by the way are delightful) didn’t seen to want to offer my guest or I Any addityinal but served the other tables! I attempted to get his attention but apparently he was in a rush to go elsewhere. I am aware this is not the commercial ‘seafood’ Restaurant who places a basket of biscus on your table , but I have no idea why we were overlooked sitting right in the middle of a small lunch crowd.
However, my first course: lobster bisque was rich & succulent. Our entrees and dessert were superb ! We were satisfied and pleased with our experience aside from the aforementioned issues.
Lastly, does your establishment recognize when guests are celebrating a birthday or anniversary, etc or just not during restaurant week?
Awful experience. Ordered the shellfish platter to start. Shrimp was actually yellow in color and Oysters tasted like chalk. Also the martinis were oily somehow. Disgusted with experience.
This place is awesome on a Sunday-half-price bottles of wine and awesome seafood!!”
The food was very good; however the service was less than par. The server was not attentive at all. He failed to bring out water and food in a timely manner. He even neglected to check in with us to see how the food was. I've had way better experiences before.
Outstanding meal. Excellent quality . Loved the biscuits too nice touch
Outstanding food, was a little expensive portions were small.
Our group of six was seated at a round table with privacy walls on two sides. The walls allowed for casual table conversation at normal voice levels. The seafood was fabulous. The bar was very busy when we arrived so drinks to the table were a little slow but that did not deter from the experience. Glad we tried this restaurant.
Outstanding service by Kristie: excellent seafood and warm and comfortable ambiance.
The place is very nice, and has possibly the best corn biscuit I've ever had, but the food was very pedestrian at best. I had the crab cake entree, and my wife had the salmon. Both desperately needed salt. Although the crab cake was OK, it wasn't any better than that. Salmon was overcooked, sides were cold. I never complain about spending money for delicious food, but this was not a $100 lunch.
Bday celebration. Got a free dresser!
The food was just ok. The prices were pretty high, the portions were average. We went there to celebrate a birthday, but we would have had better food and portions at the bonefish grill.
The service at Devon Seafood Grill was fantastic but the food was even better!! We were served quickly and our waiter knew all about the food choices. His recommendations were on point and I had the seafood combination-delicious!! We would definitely be returning if we need to return to Philadelphia in the future. Thank you!!
Food was of great quality however fairly bland. Server was friendly and attentive.
Great food, fun experience
We were tired after a long museum day in Philly and had seen the info on Devon Grill on Open Table. We were able to pull our reservation to an earlier time and were delighted with the food (cioppino, charred tuna), interesting cocktails (including spicy innovations) and absolutely wonderful service (knowledegable, interesting, sympathetic, and intuitive). The range of great fish and shellfish offerings would have us come in regularly if we were local but we will certainly go again when we visit. The shucked oysters were terrific.
We’ve eaten at Devon a number of times before and thoroughly enjoyed it. This time it was a Sunday evening and my wife cautioned me that sometimes the food is not as fresh or good .. in this case she was spot on. The swordfish was mushy and risotto was very mushy with too much garlic for a butternut squash dish. The slaw was good .. the desert was so so.. it wasn’t a cheap dinner ... so value was poor .. Not impressed this time...
It was very nice. The atmosphere was very nice just cool and relaxing for a first date.
Issac was a wonderful server. We were out dining kicking off our new year and busy lives as dance moms. He kept us smiling and ensured all of our needs were met. Our meals were delicious. Even for a few of the newbies who experienced there first meal with Devon’s. Thank you
This is our favorite place when visiting Center City.
The scenery was beautiful, meal and appetizers served in a timely manner, and staff was very courteous.
Delicious good and great service as always!
Crab cakes okay - not much flavor and not very warm - but oysters and magi magi very good
We had yet another great experience at Devon. Started with the Blackberry sparkler martini, had some happy hour appetizers and my date had the Ahi tuna dinner which was excellent. Our service was top notch with Blake. Devon has a great view of Rittenhouse park and outside seating when the weather is good. Parc is not the only game in town on 18th street. Give Devon a try.
Excellent meal. Enjoyed the lobster bisque soup and ordered calamari as an appetizer. Had their business person’s special which was half a sandwich with the soup. Waitress was excellent with her suggestions and service.
Service was awesome, food was horrible. Had to send food back due to no flavor
Food is excellent for seafood lovers; always fresh; crabcakes excellent. Service is excellent friendly though professional; tables always cleared as soon as party leaves.
Devon’s is one of my favorite restaurants. I went on New Year’s Day, my birthday. I always get the seafood grill and the blackberry martinis. My food was a little over cooked, even tho I like my food that way, I don’t care for my seafood a little over cooked. I didn’t complain, I was just happy to be out on my birthday. I will visit again.
We had a great time here for our first time in the city. Really knowledgeable wait staff and food was good. Specialty cocktails also excellent!
My time spent there was great. The food was delicious but there were some things that went wrong. My partner ordered the lobster bisuqe and it came out cold. My partner received her entree about 10 minutes earlier than when mine came out and it was taken back about 3 minutes before mine was brought out and not back in a decent amount of time. It wouldve been smart to bring them both out at the same time so we couldve ate together.
