Great oysters and awesome crab cakes. I came in and ate alone and was treated very well. The beignets were unfortunately delicious.
Cocktails weren't balanced with the ratios therefore didn't achieve the description of the drink.
Wonderful locavour cuisine. Many choices. Excellent pastries.
Delicious food, great service. Particularly grateful for the waiter's cocktail recommendation as I know next to nothing about drinks.
We went for our 25 year wedding anniversary knowing it would be a treat. We were not disappointed. The menu is wonderful and interesting and we like the portion sizes. The atmosphere is delightful, perfect for a celebration!
I was really dissapointed. Came with my family and everything started out great, but the food really disaapointed. I ordered the “Eggs Benedict with Pork Tenderloin”. The poached egg was perfect. The pork was very overcooked, tough and not very enjoyable. The english muffin was also tough and difficult to cut.
My daughters Grilled Cheese was served burnt, with large burnt pieces of cheese on the plate. My other daughters French toast was also charred black and served in a way that was difficult for her to eat (huge chunk of bread). Both kids plates looked like they were just labled “kids” without considering what kids actually like/eat.
Service was fine, nothing special. I’ll admit I was annoyed by the required 20% service fee given I had a poor experience. The waitress felt bad and comped me a “birthday discount”. It wasn’t her fault the food was poor quality.
They treated us very well. We were celebrating a birthday and my daughter going off to college. Made the feel special.
The cod was very good but there service was a bit lacking. Server never introduced himself and follow up on requests was slow. I just don’t think you need to remind your server that you ordered a drink....table was next to the noisy kitchen. And for a Coconut Cream Pie....you’d like to taste the coconut; but not here. Ugh....lots of $$ for average.
Vegetables were fantastic and very fresh! Desserts were a bit of a disappointment
Better even than I remembered. Great service. Focused on fish this time: four appetizer combo and black cod with wheat berries — very different from other seafood in this town of seafood. A little pricey but certainly reasonable.
The noise level seems to have gotten worse. The food and service is tops. Unusual combinations of elements in each presentation. We always go here for our "Birthday Celebration"
We even have a candle on the dessert. Such a neat touch for adults, just one candle!
So disappointed. I Ubered downtown to meet my husband for an anniversary dinner and was completely unimpressed. I don’t usually write things like this but it was so blatantly bad I just have to do it. EXTREMELY slow service, 6 pm on a Tuesday. It was not even a remotely full restaurant - we were hungry and thirsty and everything took forever. Food presentation looked rushed and slopped onto plates, soup was room temperature...just really everything was disappointing, carpets looked dirty...I’m just so sorry to have to be writing this - I really wish I didn’t have to.
I had been looking forward to trying this restaurant for a long time. To be honest, I did not love it. What I disliked most was the attitude of the hostess when I checked in for my reservation. I was dining alone which is often what I do particularly when I travel by myself in a new city. Her comment that “this is a very busy time” and I don’t know where we can put you” was very off-putting. I ended up in the bar which was fine since I had a table. I will not eat at the bar or on a high level table but fortunately that wasn’t the case. If a restaurant is too busy to handle single diners, they should not allow for reservations for them. I am very sensitive about this.
The service was okay but not as attentive as it could be. I was never asked if I wanted more coffee. They add a 20% service charge. I really wonder if this does not give server an incentive for tips and thus they are more lazy.
Some of the food was very good but I found the breakfast potatoes to be much too salty.
I don’t think I will return to this restaurant on a return trip to Seattle.
Our server was wonderful and knowledgeable. The food was so delicious with very creative flavors! We especially enjoyed the sea scallops appetizer and homemade breads with the spreads of the day. Choice!
We were visiting Seattle for our 17 year anniversary and decided to go to the Dahlia Lounge for dinner on our last night there. We were very impressed by the service, food, and ambiance. We will definitely be back.
Their Saturday and Sunday brunch is excellent. No wait as compared to Lola just across the street; however, the same excellent quality and service.
We had a lovely mother / daughter dinner together. The food, service and ambiance was fantastic!
This is one of a handful of restaurants in Seattle that we keep going back to. You can count on well prepared food and a professional wait staff. We have never had a bad meal there and we love the customer service. Good wine selections too. Then there is always access to great desserts from the bakery next-door or from the menu.
One of my favorite places in Seattle. Pacific Rim meets Pacific Northwest. Never disappoints.
Fantastic food and service!
Third visit to this great restaurant. A bit noisy but food good.
I had cod dish which was good but maybe a little bland. Cocktail lovely, good wine by the glass
Will certainly come again when next in Seattle
Lovely place good food, friendly and casual. Great wine and beer selections
Had a great time. Melissa was our server and took great care of us. Awesome food and drinks. We will definitely be back.
Our server, Patrick was excellent! He was a pleasure. Food was excellent and what a treat, a vanilla crème brûlée courtesy of Dahlia for my birthday. I highly recommend Dahlia Lounge for a wonderful evening out. Only downside, I would love valet parking.
Excellent north west food experience.
The menu price on open table and the actual menu prices aren't the same. (Double the price) at the restaurant.
The Dahlia Lounge is the most dependably outstanding Seattle restaurant of the last few decades.
Really nice experience. Thank you.
We are on a trip to visit family. Restaurant had excellent ambience. Service was excellent and all our courses were presented beautifully and were delicious. Prices were high by our standards but in keeping with the location. We hope to go again on our next visit . Highly recommended!
Consistently reliable and good food - great place for a relaxed lunch.
My wife and I introduced a couple to the Dahlia Lounge for the first time. They both enjoyed their entrees and drinks. She had the Dungeness crab cakes which were full of crab and outstanding flavor complemented by a hibiscus and gin cocktail. He had.the skirt steak with an excellent Oregon Pinot Noir. I think we added two new converts to the restaurant my wife and I have enjoyed for years. The Triple Coconut Cream Pie and dessert doughnuts we wonderful and satisfying as usual.
The food was tasty but the service was extremely slow and our waitress didn’t seem like she wanted to be working that night.
It was a fun 15th anniversary dinner! They gave us amazing champagne on the house. Thank you Dalia Lounge!
Competent food, good service. The music was a little loud and strange. It's a little dark inside but nice for rainy, cold days.
I literally had the best service I've ever had at a restaurant when I had lunch there on Friday, February 22nd.
Love Dahlia Lounge! Eaten there several times. Yummy food, excellent service.
Our table was ready at the right time which was appreciated. The service was a bit slower than I thought it should be given the attendance in the restaurant. Our server was pleasant enough, but kept referring to our older guests as "darling," "sweetheart", etc. I know that some people find that endearing, but they did not. Just thought I'd mention that for future reference.
Yes the dining experience was intimate with great service.
