Cut might be the best special occasion restaurant in Los Angeles! We went for our anniversary, the food was outstanding and the service was impeccable. Our waiter, Paul was extremely attentive, without being overbearing. He made excellent wine recommendations as well. The Bluefin Tuna Toro was perfect and the steak was perfectly cooked! Most importantly, we did not feel as though we were being rushed through dinner, we could take our time and enjoy our special event. We look forward to going back for other special events.
The food was splendid, and the service was excellent.
The service was very slow and the food was not as great as we expected. We came on valentines day and they had a set menu that was honestly not good at all or worth the set price they had. We were there for 3 hours mainly because we had to wait for the servers. The ambiance was okay but honestly wouldn’t go back there again
I was 10 mins early and they sat me 20 mins late.
I burned my tongue on the backed oysters and ruined my whole night it was beyond hot and 2 days later I’m still in pain.
They left the string on my filet and I couldn’t cut it!
They just dropped the dessert on the table without explaining what it was.
We paid $600 just to have three side dishes of potatoes cooked three different ways which I thought was so cheap and tacky of the restaurant. They couldn’t bring us a variety of side dishes? It was so half assed.
Very very disappointed
Not worth $800 to eat there ... for 2... overrated place
Worst experience and a total waste of a lot of money never again
Brought my clients here and they were amazed!
Excellent service. Loud and noisy room so be prepared not to have any intimate conversation. Fabulous cocktails and outstanding food. It's for a fun night out with foodies!!
Great food, good service - the atmosphere is not on the same level.
Great! Will come back anytime.
We last went about 3 years ago and it was wonderful. Easily a top 5 meal. We went again over the weekend and it was a let down. The service is still great, but the food wasn’t the greatest. I ordered a medium rare steak and it came back close to we’ll done. That sides were disappointing and something you’d easily find at a happy hour. Nothing about the meal was luxury asides from the bill. No intentions of coming back.
Excellent food and great service, exactly what we were hoping for!
It was a phenomenal experience. Def coming back!
Best food I’ve had at a Wolfgang Puck Restaurant. Excellent!!! Ambience much better in the lounge than the restaurant. Service was great.
Great food great everything, YET when people make reservations let’s me be more organized on a operations level and not keep people waiting 10mins at the host stand
We loved our evening here. We went for my husband's birthday and are so glad we did. The food was delicious, the ambience just right and the waitstaff friendly and attentive.
Good food. Environment is ok
The food was poor. The steak was dry, salad was mediocre at best. If not for this being a business meeting, I would’ve sent back the food to the kitchen
I have been to all the major Steak chains and this was my worst dining experience ever. Except for a server from Kansas who was nice and very patient and our salads, everything was sub par. The sides were just ok but the steaks were terrible. They came out warm and dry and over cooked. We sent two back and the came back ok but not great. i asked to speak to the manager and she came and spoke to my colleague. When the bill came I saw a credit for 200 but then realized they added in the second steaks so I got nothing off, no desert not even a heart felt apology. Nada 600 bucks down the drain for 4 people. Never again.
Food was amazing and service was very attentive. Atmosphere also very pleasant.
We went at 6pm on a Tuesday for date night. Pretty full, so I'm glad we had a reservation and were seated immediately. All the food we had was delicious. We started with the tecorino salad, followed by the scallop appetizer, then 2 cuts of meat, one over fingerling potatoes and the other over another starch, both equally delicious. Ended with the banana mousse that was paired with passion fruit sorbet for dessert. It was an excellent value being that it was during Dine LA. We had 2 drinks each and this meal each for about $350.
My mum has been looking forward to the dinner for a long time because her friend highly recommended CUT but unfortunately we had to cancel three previous bookings due to her busy schedule.
We finally made it here this week, needless to say she was excited. To our dismay, it was utterly disappointing. The starter was great, however ALL our steaks were massively over cooked. Our waiter even tried to deny it and blame it on the lighting ‘oh maybe because it’s too dark in here that’s why you can’t see the pink!’. Lmao, lazy attitude, laughable excuses.
I was able to talk to another person from reception, she was brave enough to admit that all our steaks were, indeed, horribly overcooked. This sweet lady was also nice enough to offer remaking all our steaks. I took the offer and waited some more time for the correct steak I ordered. It was just okay-ish after everything that happened.
Unfortunately at that point my parents have completely lose their appetite, they declined the lady’s offer and just went home with two empty stomachs. My parents were also nice enough to tip the lazy waiter, looks like he is the only lucky person tonight. For us, I think we just spent 500+ dollars on three plates of utter disappointment.
Great food & Drinks love the place
Excellent service, terrific freshly made bread selection, beautiful plating, well-seasoned food, great wine selection and cocktails/mocktails.
Cut is an excellent choice for a special occasion and the DineLA menu was well-conceived and executed.
Service was friendly and helpful during our meal. The lighting was very dim and the music was all classic 80s.
The pacing was inconsistent however, with a longer gap between first and second courses but all dishes were delicious: refreshing salad, beautiful scallops with plentiful black truffle, mushrooms with shishitos was an excellent dish loaded with umami, duo of high-quality steaks, and a stunning not-too-heavy mousse dessert highlighting contrast in textures and brightness in the accompanying sorbet.
What a disappointment.
The table was a full hour late and the steaks took another 90 minutes to arrive. By that time nobody at the table was hungry anymore.
To be fair, they showered us in free apps and dessert but overall it was still pretty embarassing.
Everything was great but the steak. I came here for the steak so was really disappointed. Ordered the 35 day aged rib eye. Was one of the toughest rib eyes Ive ever eaten :(
This place rocks. Great food
Came here for DINELA 19. Not sure what the restaurant is like during regular season but they were super ill-prepared. Had rezzie 10pm, was not seated until 10:45. The hostesses just let us stand, lean, and slouch all over the waiting area and did not even lift a finger to offer any complimentary water or ANYTHING for that matter.
DINE LA value is decent, however, first and main dish came out tepid and not hot. I HATE tepid food. Overall 3 out of 5; but 2.5 out of 5 for $$ restaurant.
My favorite restaurant in LA. Service is the best and food is delicious always.
Reservations mean nothing at this restaurant. Not sure why they even bother to take them. We were visiting from out of town and wanted to try a different steakhouse. Very sorry we tried Cut. Never again. We were seated one hour past our reservation time. No offer to provide us a complimentary cocktail or appetizer or dessert acknowledging their poor service. The food was definitely not up to a top tier steakhouse standards. Steaks were not cooked to order. Tough, chewy and mediocre in flavor. But the prices were certainly what a top tier steakhouse would be. Totally lacking in great customer service. Go elsewhere if you are looking for a great steak!
Probably the best dining experience. My husband and I were impressed by the service and the food was delicious. I rave about this place to everyone I know.
Kicked off 2019 DineLA at Chef Wolfgang’s CUT restaurant. Great curated menu at such a good price point!! Every course served to perfection! The service was absolutely on point! Not to mention the surprise table greeting by Chef WP himself was pretty awesome!!! Cheers 2019!! Thank you for a great dining experience!
It was my 2nd 50th celebration of my birth and this was an stunning venue and food really made everything pop🔥
Great place. Good food, but service some times very slow.
In the past my favorite restaurants haven’t done a great job on holidays like NYE, Valentines Day, etc. We chose to come to CUT on NYE and they did not disappoint us in the least. They designed a menu that was unique for the occasion but also giving the frequent diner the ability to choose their usual favorites. Excellently prepared, excellently served just like every visit. This remains one of our favorite restaurants in LA.
Another fantastic dining experience at CUT, thank you.
Just plain and simple
