Good ambiance with excellent food and a waiter who helped with any questions we had about the choices. Good value all round.

Fantastic dinner with my wife to celebrate her birthday and out first trip as a married couple. Instantly greeted by an enthusiastic and friendly host team the minute we walked through the door. Our table had birthday decor and a handwritten birthday card at the table upon our arrival- nice touch!! Our server Julian and his assistant Elloy were efficient and friendly throughout the dining experience, making fantastic food recommendations, and we got a visit from the Managing Partner Kevin as well. We had the spinach salad with poached pear and gorgonzola and lobster bisque to start. I was on the fence about the bisque or the clam chowder, so Julian brought me a sample of the chowder alongside my bisque just so I’d know what it was like! For mains, she had an 8 oz filet, and I had the dry aged bone in NY strip. Both steaks were exquisite!! At the end they had a special “double barreled” birthday dessert for my wife! My first time at a Cap G, my wife’s second, definitely not the last! First class from start to finish!!

. Loved the small, neighborhood vibe. The food was amazing. I was so happy to see they had gluten free pasta available. The service was on point. We will definitely be back the next time we are in Chicago

The kitchen was slammed and dishes came out all at different times; food was pretty good, I’d recommend for a fancy lunch when they are less busy
