This is hands down one of my favorite restaurants. The new chef has delicious new items on the menu. Service is always outstanding. The dining room is quiet enough to hold a conversation without raising one’s voice, a rarity in DC. So what’s not to love?

Great ambience indoor and outdoor options are available. Tables are spaced out well enough so each party can talk without disturbing other guests. The service was excellent- very attentive and welcoming of different visible backgrounds. The food was delicious and perfectly portioned. Overall, I enjoyed the dining experience and will happily return.

Amazing food in a modest setting, it is reminiscent of dining in a neighborhood bistro in Paris. Because it is small, with tables crammed close together, it tends to be noisy during mealtimes, but the food is worth it. And the wines are lovely.

Staff was great, french pasta is handmade and was absolutely delicious on both our plates, Short Rib Lasagna & Pappardelle. Crispy Brussel Sprouts were definitely crispy and delicious with pickled onions. The cocktails were great. We needed a good dinner our first night in town and Opaline delivered. Thank you.
