Momoyama is a contemporary take on traditional Japanese cuisine. It honors the classics, but also has modern dishes. The atmosphere is at once lively and quiet thanks to the large comfortable booths. There is also counter service. The staff is very attentive and friendly.

The food was very good and the service was helpful and very attentive to any questions or needs. All employees encountered were very courteous and friendly even upon leaving those at the bar gave a farewell thanks for coming in even though we did not order anything from the bar oh my gosh.

My absolute favorite place for sushi and other Japanese fare… I wish I lived closer (I drive from Vancouver) so I could eat here more often. Their location in the Pearl (on Johnson Square) was more convenient for me, but Covid put paid to that… I’m just glad they didn’t close completely.
