We were in town for a conference and found this spot for the UT Bama game. The mangers and staff couldn’t have been nicer. They let us watch the entire game on their 20 foot screens even though we were deep in the heat of hockey territory. Service was great. Food was delicious. And the beer was cold. Great spot.

The staff is by far the best front of house staff in the neighbourhood. The place is well managed and organised. Anyone working in the industry would agree the front of house staff is brilliant

Given the number of people and the turnover between games the staff did a fantastic job. They were organized with table numbers matching the reservation. The food delivery was fast and the beer was plentiful! The staff worked very hard and had a fantastic attitude. It’s rare for me to take the time to write a review like this but I was very impressed at how well this was managed given the numbers of customers they supported. If there is a criticism to include I’d just say that if you call yourself an Irish bar you could actually make it a bit more Irish other than just painting the walls green and serving Guinness!

Myself and my five friends decided to go and watch football on Sunday afternoon. This place by far is the best place to watch sports. Great drinks and food. Feels like you’re in a stadium. Will be back.

Great place to watch the World Cup game. There were many screens to view and the large screen was prominent in the middle of the room. Staff were very responsive and friendly. We had a great time.

We had an awesome server - Taylor. She is personable, funny, and efficient. She spent a little time chatting with us and helped the guys figure out what they wanted to order. We’ll request her from now on. This was my 6th visit to the Public Eatery in the River District at Marine Way in Burnaby. It has become my/our go-to restaurant. We’ll be back! Thank you Taylor for adding to our enjoyment on Monday.

This place is great. I love the staff- great energy, customer service, and really accommodating to our group. We were loud and stoked for both the Colombia vs Portugal game AND two birthdays- and they made us feel welcomed. I will recommend this establishment to everyone who will listen! Great vibes.
