Such an amazing meal! Excellent service, friendly and never felt rushed. Yes it’s a little loud but that makes sense, it’s a family style restaurant. The layout makes it loud but also very inviting. We had some nice NA cocktails. The cabbage melted in your mouth with a broth I wanted to drink with a spoon. Most flavorful cabbage ever. The pork chop was juicy, very generous and perfectly seasoned. I would have liked more hoppin ’ John. Sweet potato hoe cakes were moist perfection. Coconut cake was a delight (and lovely leftover for breakfast) as was the crispy edged bread pudding with pecans. We went for a special occasion but would absolutely go back needing an excuse.
