Food was great. Server was very friendly. Slow start with waters but we were not in a rush. Sides were too small but tasty. $12 for a baked potato is just crazy. Not being able to substitute a side for a baked potato when you are having steak is more crazy. Everything we had from the table bread to the desert was amazing. We would definitely go back.

Lisa is an amazing waitress and really gave us awesome service. The food was delicious. We all work in the restaurant business and really appreciated the taste and temperature of our apps and meals. We rarely have a chance to eat out so thank you for making our meal so incredible. Thank you Lisa for providing a great lunch.

This was my Wife’s and I first time experiencing New Haven Restaurant week and decided to try Il Gabbiano as our first restaurant. We were pleasantly surprised with how well the staff were attentive and friendly. The food choices we made were excellent. We will definitely put this restaurant on our repeat list.

We had a very enjoyable dinner. Mussels were wonderful and plump, the beet salad w was great. Gambas al ajillo were tasty, although just a few pieces. The paella had great ingredients, but the rice was somewhat soupy, and there was no bottom crust at all - a bit of a disappointment. Service was attentive and excellent. They validate parking for the garage across the street - great!

Absolute perfection from start to finish! The restaurant has a beautiful, soft ambiance and stays at a pleasant volume where you can actually hold a conversation. The entire space is remarkably clean, and the staff delivers top-tier customer service.As for the menu, the cocktails were flawless-perfectly balanced but strong and spirited. I loved that the food was brought out flawlessly timed as courses, flowing perfectly from the appetizers straight through to the main entrees. The food itself was absolutely amazing. We will definitely be going back!
