The Ship is lovely, with well presented tasty food and excellent table service from very pleasant staff . A five star experience. The views from the windows are fantastic too !

We always enjoy our meals at the Black Bull and feel it's a pity more people don't use this lovely pub more often for eating. We brought along our friends from USA who were craving good old-fashioned English food and the Black Bull delivered at such great value for money. I am vegetarian - always a challenge to find something I like, but here, their Mushroom Pie was absolutely lovely! The staff are always friendly, non-intrusive and endearingly self-mocking at times and the Manager is very helpful and likeable. My advice would be - don't always patronise the "posher" places in Morpeth - try out this little gem. Use it to avoid risking losing it.
