Best Persian Restaurants in Rockville

This was our second visit in a month and we were as pleased with the entire experience once again. Because the music was too loud inside, we chose to sit outside in the lovely evening air. (thank goodness we had that option. Recommendation to management: choose a playlist without the thumping bass, perhaps some classic Persian…) Tarik, our server, was very knowledgeable, friendly and welcoming and he helped guide us to some excellent choices from the menu. The bright red sour cherry rice was dazzling and delicious, the falafel with tasty accompaniments was terrific, and the grilled shrimp was excellent though sparse. As always the bread and complimentary appetizer was superb.  All around wonderful!

The food was fabulous. Lamb shoulder was delicious (and I am not a big fan of lamb). Swordfish even better. Service was excellent. Omar charming and made great recommendations. Easy to understand Joon's reputation!

Peacock is one of my favorite Georgetown restaurants. I live in New York, but visit DC several times a year, and always make a point to dine at Peacock when I’m there. The owner, staff and management are very kind and generous. The food is excellent.

Fantastic Date night at Darvish! They were sweet and recognized our Anniversary with a class of champagne. The food was fresh and tasty with plenty to spare! It was a wonderful first exposure to Persian cuisine.

We love this restaurant! It’s the best Persian food in the area!
