We were celebrating our son’s 30th as a family. The restaurant has been decorated for Christmas and I’ve got to say, the outside and inside of the restaurant are both superb. Excellent service from the get-go, top notch food, and reassuringly expensive wine! And a lovely ‘happy birthday’ dessert surprise at the end. I’d highly recommend this restaurant

Yet another outstanding lunch and first class dining experience at the Poet, this time the chocolate week menu. The foie gras starter was melt in the mouth and sooo tasty, leaving you eagerly awaiting the next course. The main of octopus and scallops was the best octopus dish I have ever had - soo good. The multi taster chocolate dessert plate was beautifully presented and a great way to round off an outstanding lunch. Beautifully presented, sumptuous food and the usual highly impressive, impeccable service from engaging staff, this time led by Poppy. We will be back as soon as we can.

We had Sunday lunch on 1st November. Excellent quality and very generous. We will definitely go back.
