I recently had the pleasure of dining at Ivy by the Lake for my birthday yesterday, a delightful establishment offering authentic Mediterranean cuisine. From the moment we arrived, the ambiance was inviting, with a charming decor that set the stage for a wonderful evening. The menu presented a tantalizing array of flavors, each dish prepared with evident care and fresh ingredients. Our selections were beautifully presented and tasted as good as they looked. As always, Aracosia was fantastic. Four of us thoroughly enjoyed the Mini Taste of Aracosia at lunch. There was nothing mini about it with its four plentiful stews (including two hearty vegetarian dishes), two kinds of rice, and a grilled lamb chop and piece of filet mignon for everyone. To say that every morsel was scrumptious is an understatement, and the value was excellent. In addition, the service was outstanding. We could not have had a better lunch anywhere!

I had the most amazing experience yesterday. I felt as if I was a guest in someone’s home. Watching the way the employees interacted with one another, you could feel how much love was in the room and how much they all care about the food and the experience. 10/10. I went right after they opened so it was still pretty quiet. Great for a solo dinner. I’ve had Turkish food before but never have I had a meal that I felt like this. Truly a gem. Thank you so much ladies, I’ll be back soon.

This was our second visit, and we were left wondering why we don’t come here more often. The rooms are cozy and inviting, the service excellent, and the food is delicious and fairly priced. Portions are generous but not overwhelming. We were brought fluffy flat bread with four dipping sauces, each with a different and interesting flavor. We’d have had more but wanted to save room for the meal. The first visit we started with the trio of dumplings - all very good, but we decided the scallion ones were our favorite, so just ordered those this time. We love lamb, and shared two dishes, the lamb chops and braised lamb with greens. We opted for Qabuli rice with the chops, very much worth the slight uptick in price. The chops were perfectly cooked as ordered, the lamb shank was incredibly tender and fell off the bone, and the greens were similar to a paneer which we always enjoy. We somehow found room for cardamom ice cream and sheer birinj, an infused rice pudding. The service was not rushed, attentive but not intrusive. We will be back very soon!
