Best Middle Eastern Restaurants in Hillsboro

Shalom Y'all is absolutely one of our favorite Portland restaurants. We celebrate every birthday, anniversary, and event here! We cannot say enough good about this gem of a restaurant! Here is my original review: Shalom Y'all has long been one of our favorites in all of Portland. We discovered them in Winter 2022 and have been faithful to return regularly since our first experience. Nestled away quietly on Taylor Street, Shalom Y'all is a lovely little venue full of delightful food and drinks. We have learned that if they have our favorite liquor on the specials menu, always try it (I'm a gin guy, so this is quite often an option). I've never had one of their specials that I didn't love. Otherwise, a standard martini is solid! Their menu doesn't change often or that much, which is wonderful. They have a moderately sized menu but what they do, they do WELL! Foods I can speak to: Warm Castelvetrano Olives, Hummus & Pine Nuts, Hummus & Spicy Lamb merguez, Lamb Carnitas, Baharat Chicken Kebab, and King Salmon. ALL ARE AMAZING! Food superior to the vast majority of other food joints in the PDX metro. We've recently added their Roasted Cauliflower and Braized Kale to our favorites - AMAZING!!! The service is always on-point. They keep their servers with few tables, so you get very quick and personalized service. The ambiance is warm and modern without being fussy. They know how to keep it comfortable in a lively setting. We've never been when the sound of delightful voices didn't fill the air. Lastly, Tyler is absolutely above-and-beyond, our favorite waiter in all of the Portland. I would say his friendly smile, amazing demeanor, bubbly personality, and just overall general pleasant presence makes every experience a 100 of 10 stars! Thanks to Tyler and the team for making every experiene magical! Highly recommended. Lovely venue. Absolutely nothing but positive to rave about this place. Just two good friends celebrating a birthday. We were warmly welcomed and shown to our seats promptly. We were greeted by our waiter who proceeded to help us select the perfect dishes for the evening and unobtrusively refilled water glasses, removed used dishes….all to allow our non-stop conversation to continue without interruption and in great comfort. The food was delicious with interesting pairings. The pita came out piping hot and all the food came out quickly. All in all a lovely evening.

Everything was great. Food, service, atmosphere, noise level, menu, and value. Pretty much a 10 out of 10.

We went for my moms birthday and the food was delicious, very tender chicken and the hummus was so fresh. Everything we ordered was so good and the service was outstanding. I highly recommend booking a table and experience the food and culture.
