Best European Restaurants in Los Altos

We really enjoyed our recent dinner experience at Cafe Pro Bono. We have been coming here for the last 15years. Every time has been a great experience. This is not a trendy place... the ambience is very classic Palo Alto. A very nice combination of indoor and outdoor dining. Most of the customers appear to be local residents, and you can actually have a conversation without having to talk loudly. The food has never disappointed, it is very consistent. We are always happy to see that this place is still in business and successful. We will continue to eat here for a nice evening out.

Really good Italian meal, coming from an Italian that means something. Try the verde butter lettuce salad, I’d go with the calamari steak as an appetizer, then you can’t go wrong with either veal piccata or spaghetti carbonara…. Waiters are all top notch!

Good bread service. French onion soup had lots of great guyerer cheese. Dijon sauce on Lapin was very nice. The Grand Marnier souffle was fantastic. Generous portions on split main entree. Great friendly service.

Restaurant is beautiful, excellent space with front wall opening -feels outdoors! Great wine list, interesting and delightful starters, Lobster toast was a little cold, but tender and delicious. Asparagus with peas amazing. Mains were excellent, but not as inventive. Definitely a do again and great to have such a great restaurant in Los Altos.

Return visit. New wait staff, inprovement over prior. Better communication- fluent in English. Some new menue items. We shared the mushroom flatbread- excellent. Also the potato pancakes, as good as before.Also the strudel with ice cream for desert. One order of each which we shared- some flat bread to take home. And ice tea All for under $50.00 Will be back
