Best Continental Restaurants in Oakville

My husband and I went to Bar Su recently and had an enjoyable night. The food was very good we had the crispy artichoke and the Seabass Crudo appetizers both were very good and I would order them again. For means we had the Wagyu steak and the Mediterranean Seabass special. We both enjoyed our meals thoroughly. They were perfectly cooked and full of flavor., where the restaurant fell short was with the service. We ordered a bottle of wine, and I found it odd that it was not opened at the table, but behind the bar and then brought to us a small thing I know. The appetizer dishes and my husband‘s appetizer plate were cleared, but mine were not cleared until the mains arrived. We had to ask for cutlery for my husband for his main and the menus were never cleared from our table the entire meal. By the time the waitress came by to check and see if everything was OK with our meal we were pretty much finished. The restaurant has a polished cement floor and is open to the rafters, which makes the noise level in this small establishment quite loud. I understand the restraint hasn’t been open that long but they really need to work on better training their front of house staff, because we enjoyed our meals so much, we will definitely give them another try in a few months.

Fabulous time with friends. Pre-dinner drinks in the Print Room Bar (Great ambiance).followed by a delicious dinner. Wine selection was extensive. Then, Motown Mania!. Boy, did we dance...Thank you Old Mill!

One of the best spots on Clarkson, the food is fantastic with great portions. We had the caesar salad, beef carpaccio, braised short rib, chicken piccata, and veal scallopini, each bursting with flavour and fresh ingredients! The wine list is perfectly curated with many great options. While the food was the highlight, it’s important to recognize the cozy ambiance and friendly service that create a welcoming atmosphere that make you feel right at home. Will definitely be returning soon!

Everything is always delicious, and the service is fast and friendly. This has become one of our favorite spots to visit on weekends. The atmosphere is welcoming, and the staff always make us feel valued as customers. A special thank you to Emre for always being so helpful and attentive whenever we visit.
