I found Tasty 222 while searching for a Black-owned restaurant near the Lyric Opera House, and I had no idea the experience was going to be as amazing as it was! From the moment we walked in, the service was warm, personable, attentive, and incredibly accommodating. I took my mom there as part of a surprise evening out for her 75th birthday, which included opening night of Omar at the Lyric Opera House. We each enjoyed a cocktail, and from the small plates menu we ordered the Beyond Empanadas, BBQ Chicken Wings, Steak Tacos, and Firecracker Shrimp—and every single item was absolutely outstanding! The food was flavorful, fresh, and beautifully prepared. You could taste the care and quality in every bite. What started as a simple search for a restaurant turned into one of the most memorable parts of our entire evening. This hidden gem exceeded every expectation, and I'm so grateful I discovered it. Tasty 222 will forever be part of my mom's 75th birthday celebration and the wonderful memories we created that night. I can't wait to return and highly recommend it to anyone looking for exceptional food, outstanding service, and a truly special dining experience. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

The restaurant experience is extremely lovely with Ralph Lauren dinnerware, chiseled glasses, refined warm decoration with blue touches and wooden panel, semi-open views on the kitchen, not too loud, and personable service. The menu is reliably very good, from appetizer to dessert. Highly recommend this place.

Katie was truly a treat. She was the bartender, the server, and an overall sweetheart when it came to our party. We made last minute reservation & she went above and beyond. Will definitely return!
