Best Contemporary French Restaurants in Carlsbad

Brought my best friend to celebrate our friendiversary. We drove down from Irvine to celebrate. I’ve been here before and wanted her to experience the special restaurant. Thomas was our server and he was impeccable and attentive. My friend loved everything she tried and drank. Highly recommend everyone try Jeune et Jolie!!!

Had a very nice night for my anniversary. Staff was very welcoming and kind. I really enjoyed the vibe and the music, and all of the food was great.

Wormwood absolutely blew us away. We came in for a celebration dinner and had such an incredible experience from start to finish. The food was phenomenal. The chef’s crispy-skin sea bass was easily one of the best dishes I’ve had in a long time — perfectly cooked with that incredible crispy skin. I also highly recommend taking advantage of Happy Hour because it’s truly an elite time to go, but definitely follow it up with a dinner entrée. You won’t regret it. The cocktails were just as impressive — decadent, creative, and beautifully done. I especially loved the Hugo Spritz. And a huge shoutout to Marjorie behind the bar, who was so incredibly kind and generous. She treated us to a digestif cocktail at the end of our meal, which was such a thoughtful touch and the perfect way to end an already amazing celebration dinner. Savannah and Ryan were also fantastic. They had such great menu recommendations and really took the time to make the meal feel special. Their knowledge and enthusiasm genuinely brought the whole experience to life. Between the food, cocktails, service, and atmosphere, Wormwood is absolutely somewhere I’d return to. An exceptional dining experience all around.

As usual, the food was insane. We went especially on Thursday to enjoy the special of the night, filet of sol. It did not disappoint. Beautifully seasoned the flaky flesh melted in your mouth. We can always depend on a Lucious meal at Du Marche. Don’t wait! Enjoy this amazing place!
