Best Contemporary European Restaurants in San Jose

We booked a private room (Mykonos) for our party of 14. Excellent meal, great service overall. Nice setting.

Great restaurant. Our experience was great. We were very happy with the quality of the food and flavors, appetizer sampler with fresh pita, lamb shank, moussaka, and a delicious dessert. The decor is very contemporary and aesthetically giving glam Greek vibes. Beautiful flooring and bar. Large outdoor patio. Our server, Maria,happened to be the hostess as they were down a server, and she was very knowledgeable and attentive. It was our 35th wedding anniversary and it felt like a special meal.

This was my fourth visit to Elia. I had dinner at both the Pleasanton and Walnut Creek locations. The food, service, and ambiance was absolutely amazing. The experience reminded me of having dinner with friends in Greece on restaurant terraces overlooking the Aegean Sea. Equally important was our server who welcomed us with a genuine smile and warmth that made my dinner companion and I feel like VIP’s throughout our dinner experience. It’s Greek haute cuisine at it’s finest. By the end of our meals, I was practically ready to start dancing Zorba with my fellow diners. As they say in Greece, I sagapo this wonderful restaurant that goes above and beyond. Truly outstanding.
