Opened in February 2014 by Kenny & Abbie Atkinson, House of Tides is located on the historical Newcastle Quayside and set within the beautifully restored Grade 1 listed 16th Century former merchant’s town house. House of Tides is a casual, informal restaurant which is set over two floors. The rustic ground floor entrance level with its original 16th century flagstones and exposed beams, provides an excellent venue whether you're settling-in for a drink, pre-dinner aperitif or a leisurely nightcap.     Absolutely stunning! Beautiful in every way. Chose the Steel & Vine 8 course pairing menu. The whole team are fabulous, Derek, Lily, Samuel, Jamie and Ale. Impressive knowledge, description and attention to detail. Brilliant Yorkshire hospitality with a very classy atmosphere and style. The food is as good as it gets, perfectly paired with wines that take you on a journey around the world. My wife and I were bowled over with the evening, and given we are foodies a number of times a week, this restaurant has positioned itself amongst the best meal experiences we’ve enjoyed to date. Save up, and treat yourself, it’s a memory you’ll keep forever.

    Super meal, tasty and well planned and presented. Service was superb, very attentive with every course explained and every need met. A course was changed to vegetarian without prior notice without quibble. This was a long awaited visit for a special occasion and it lived up to our hopes.

    The place is spotless especially the toilets. We only had a coke and bacon and sausage bun but was very pleased with the taste and value. Overall would recommend visiting and eating there.
